Gandhi Jayanti, Birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, is celebrated across India on 2nd of October every year. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi,also known as 'Bapu' or 'Father of the nation', the apostle of peace was born on 2 October 1869 at Porbandar in Gujarat. 2nd October is also declared as International Day of Non-violence by the United Nation General Assembly. On the occassion of 144th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, let us together pledge on his teaching of non-violence and truthfulness.
