1879: Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, Wurttemberg, Germany, on March 14, 1879, the first child of the German-Jewish couple Hermann and Pauline Einstein, née Koch.

1881: Albert Einstein sister - Maria was born on 18th Nov, 1881

1884: Receives his first compass around this time, inspiring a lifelong quest to investigate mysteries of the natural world.

1885: Albert Einstein started schooling in Catholic elementary school in Munich, Germany in 1885

1888: Albert Einstein left Catholic elementary school in 1888 and joined Luitpold Gymnasium

1894: Drop out from school

1895: Went to Cantonal school in Aarau, Switzerland in 1895

1896: Albert Einstein renounced his German citizenship in 1896

1900: Went to Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland in 1900

1901: Albert Einstein became the Swiss citizen.

1902: Albert Einstein's father Hermann Einstein died in 1902

1903: Albert Einstein married on 6th Jan 1903 with Mileva Maric

1904: Hans Albert, first son of Albert Einstein and Mileva Maric, was born on 14th May, 1904

1905: Became doctorate in this year. He published four research papers which includes the theory of relativity, his equation of mass and energy. This year is truly was miracle year for Albert Einstein.

1906: Continues working as an examiner at the Swiss Patent Office in Bern.

1909: He was appointed as a associate professor of theoritical physics at Zurich.

1910: Eduard, second son of Albert Einstein and Mileva Maric, was born on 28th July, 1910

1911: He was appointed as a professor of theoretical physics at the German University in Prague

1912: He returned to Zurich as professor at the Technische hochschule.

1913: Works on his new theory of gravity.

1914: He became the german citizen. He also enjoyed the position of the director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute in Berlin for Physics in the year 1914.

1915: Completes the general theory of relativity.

1916: He published the general relativity theory in 1916

1919: Albert Einstein gained worldwide prominance, when British astronomers verified predictions of Einstein's general theory of relativity through measurements taken during a total eclipse

1920: Albert's mother Pauline Einstein nee Koch died in 1920

1921: Nobel Prize Winner for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect and his work in the field of theoretical physics

1926: Hans Albert, first son of Albert Einstein and Mileva Maric, completed his studies and became civil engineer in 1926

1927: Albert Einstein together with Niels Bohr started work on the foundation of quantum mechanics

1930: On July 14, 1930, Albert Einstein welcomed into his home on the outskirts of Berlin the Indian philosopher Rabindranath Tagore

1933: Albert Einstein moved to America from Germany and took US citizenship. He joined the Institute of Advanced Study in Princeton in 1933

1934: Ilse, Albert Einstein daugther, died of an illness in 1934.

1936: Elsa Einstein nee Lowenthal, second wife of Albert Einstein, died on 20th Dec, 1936

1938: Evolution of Physics

1939: Albert Einstein wrote letter to President Franklin D. Roosevelt that urgest nuclear development before Germany could gain the upper hand.

1940: He bacame the U.S. citizen.

1945: He retired from the Institute of Advanced Study in Princeton in 1945. Though he was retired, he did continue his work till his last breath.

1948: Albert Einstein's first wife died in 1948

1951: Albert Einstein sister - Maria died in 1951

1952: He was offered the presidency of Israel. However he declined the same.

1953: On March 15, 1953, Albert Einstein formally agreed to permit his name to be used for the first medical school to be built in New York City since 1897.

1955: Albert Einstein Died on 18th April, 1955
