1925 - Cheng Yu-tung was born on 26-Aug-1925 at Lunjiao, Shunde, Guangdong

1942 - Mr. Cheng started his career as a jeweler in 1940

1944 - He married his employer's daughter in 1942.

1946 - He moved to Hong Kong in 1946 to open a shop in the British colony

1967 - He has been Chairman of Melbourne Enterprises Ltd. since December 1967

1970 - He served as Executive Director of New World Development Company Limited. since May 1970

1973 - In 1973 when the Hong Kong stock market witnessed an unprecedented slump with the Hang Seng Index plunging by over 90% in a year, the Group built the New World Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong through the acquisition of Holt’s Wharf. In doing so they broke the dominance of the UK-based conglomerates.

1982 - He served as Executive Chairman of New World Development Company Limited. from 1982. He has been Director of Shun Tak Holdings Limited since March 14, 1982.

1984 - Man in his own words "In 1984, the Sino-British talks on the future of Hong Kong triggered a confidence crisis. Daunted by the uncertainties over the colony’s future, most developers shied away from construction projects that took considerable time to complete. In that year the Group recognized what the community needed and actively responded to the government’s call for a landmark convention and exhibition venue of international standard to be built in Hong Kong. The Group turned out to be the only developer willing to take financial and operating risks on a long-term basis, thereby laying a solid foundation for Hong Kong to host international conventions and exhibitions. Coupled with its excellent services, Hong Kong soon secured world-wide recognition as an ideal spot of conferences and exhibitions."

1985 - He served as Independent Non Executive Director at Hang Seng Bank Limited from March 8, 1985

1998 - Chow Tai Fook's opened first store in China in 1998.

2001 - He has been Chairman of Sociedade de Jogos de Macau (SJM), a subsidiary of SJM Holdings Limited since 2001

2004 - He joined Lifestyle International Holdings Ltd., in March 2004

2005 - He served as Executive Director of Lifestyle International Holdings Ltd. since March 5, 2005.

2006 - Mr. Cheng also bet on the world's top real-estate markets, including New York, where he led a consortium of Hong Kong investors in 1994 in a $90 million deal with Donald Trump for an apartment complex on Manhattan's West Side. The group sold its stake for $1.3 billion in 2005, but were sued by Mr. Trump, who shared in the profits but claims they sold too low. The lawsuit was dismissed in 2006.

2008 - He was an appointed representative of a corporate director of Sociedade de Turismo e Divers?es de Macau, S.A. up to 4 December 2008.

2009 - He stopped serving as Independent Non Executive Director at Hang Seng Bank Limited as on May 6, 2009.

2010 - Chow Tai Fook's opened 1000's store in China in 2010.

2011 - He has been Honorary Chairman of Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Ltd since July 26, 2011

2012 - He stopped serving as Executive Chairman of New World Development Company Limited as on March 1, 2012.

2013 - He served as a Non-Executive Director of SJM Holdings Limited from 2006 to May 31, 2013.

1879: Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, Wurttemberg, Germany, on March 14, 1879, the first child of the German-Jewish couple Hermann and Pauline Einstein, née Koch.

1881: Albert Einstein sister - Maria was born on 18th Nov, 1881

1884: Receives his first compass around this time, inspiring a lifelong quest to investigate mysteries of the natural world.

1885: Albert Einstein started schooling in Catholic elementary school in Munich, Germany in 1885

1888: Albert Einstein left Catholic elementary school in 1888 and joined Luitpold Gymnasium

1894: Drop out from school

1895: Went to Cantonal school in Aarau, Switzerland in 1895

1896: Albert Einstein renounced his German citizenship in 1896

1900: Went to Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland in 1900

1901: Albert Einstein became the Swiss citizen.

1902: Albert Einstein's father Hermann Einstein died in 1902

1903: Albert Einstein married on 6th Jan 1903 with Mileva Maric

1904: Hans Albert, first son of Albert Einstein and Mileva Maric, was born on 14th May, 1904

1905: Became doctorate in this year. He published four research papers which includes the theory of relativity, his equation of mass and energy. This year is truly was miracle year for Albert Einstein.

1906: Continues working as an examiner at the Swiss Patent Office in Bern.

1909: He was appointed as a associate professor of theoritical physics at Zurich.

1910: Eduard, second son of Albert Einstein and Mileva Maric, was born on 28th July, 1910

1911: He was appointed as a professor of theoretical physics at the German University in Prague

1912: He returned to Zurich as professor at the Technische hochschule.

1913: Works on his new theory of gravity.

1914: He became the german citizen. He also enjoyed the position of the director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute in Berlin for Physics in the year 1914.

1915: Completes the general theory of relativity.

1916: He published the general relativity theory in 1916

1919: Albert Einstein gained worldwide prominance, when British astronomers verified predictions of Einstein's general theory of relativity through measurements taken during a total eclipse

1920: Albert's mother Pauline Einstein nee Koch died in 1920

1921: Nobel Prize Winner for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect and his work in the field of theoretical physics

1926: Hans Albert, first son of Albert Einstein and Mileva Maric, completed his studies and became civil engineer in 1926

1927: Albert Einstein together with Niels Bohr started work on the foundation of quantum mechanics

1930: On July 14, 1930, Albert Einstein welcomed into his home on the outskirts of Berlin the Indian philosopher Rabindranath Tagore

1933: Albert Einstein moved to America from Germany and took US citizenship. He joined the Institute of Advanced Study in Princeton in 1933

1934: Ilse, Albert Einstein daugther, died of an illness in 1934.

1936: Elsa Einstein nee Lowenthal, second wife of Albert Einstein, died on 20th Dec, 1936

1938: Evolution of Physics

1939: Albert Einstein wrote letter to President Franklin D. Roosevelt that urgest nuclear development before Germany could gain the upper hand.

1940: He bacame the U.S. citizen.

1945: He retired from the Institute of Advanced Study in Princeton in 1945. Though he was retired, he did continue his work till his last breath.

1948: Albert Einstein's first wife died in 1948

1951: Albert Einstein sister - Maria died in 1951

1952: He was offered the presidency of Israel. However he declined the same.

1953: On March 15, 1953, Albert Einstein formally agreed to permit his name to be used for the first medical school to be built in New York City since 1897.

1955: Albert Einstein Died on 18th April, 1955

In this post I will consolidate Nobel Prize details and last years of Winston Churchill.

Timeline of Winston Churchill - Nobel Prize

Year	Description
1948	His collections of writing was first appeared in The Times on 16th April, 1948
1949	He was named "Man of the Half Century" by Time's Magazine.
1950	300 of his paintings were there in his home at Chartwell during this period.
1951	He became Prime Minister for the second time in October 1951.
1952	He suffered from the multiple strokes during 1950s.
1953	He won the Nobel Prize for Literature. Awarded the 1953 Nobel Prize in literature, he was allegedly disappointed that it wasn't the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to prevent the Cold War between the East and West from deteriorating into nuclear conflict. He was awarded the Order of the Garter in 1953, becoming Sir Winston. Both he and his Foreign Secretary Sir Anthony Eden had declined this honor in 1945, feeling it inappropriate following the landslide General Election defeat.
1954	On April 27, 1954, a conference of the big powers, including Communist China, opened at Geneva. Hoping to draw the United States into a common front with Britain, Sir Winston and Foreign Secretary Anthony Eden flew to Washington on June 24 to confer with President Eisenhower and Secretary of State John Foster Dulles concerning the problems coming up at Geneva.

Timeline of Winston Churchill - Last Years

Year	Description
1955	He resigned from the position of Prime Minister due to ill health.
1956	For many years Sir Winston had found time to work on an extensive study of the British and other English-speaking peoples. The first volume of this study appeared in 1956 and was followed by three other volumes.
1958	In retirement, Sir Winston frequently visited the French Riviera and Monte-Carlo. On one visit to the Riviera, in 1958, he was stricken with pneumonia and pleurisy. On his recovery he returned to England.
1962	In 1962, he fell while getting out of bed in Monte Carlo and fractured his left thigh. Although hospitalized in England for almost two months, the 87-year-old statesman flashed the V-for-victory sign as he returned to his home in late August.
1963	His daughter Diana Churchill died in 1963.
1964	He left Parliament by standing down at the 1964 General Election.
1965	Winston Churchill died on Sunday, 24th Jan 1965 at the age of 91 years. Cause of death was stroke. He rested in peace in London, England. He died on the exact same day as his father 70 years earlier in 1965.

Sir Winston wrote about 20 books and various speeches and other papers. His first book was, "The Story of the Malakand Field Force," He was not only a great writer but also an amazing painter, speaker and influential person as a whole.

Timeline of Winston Churchill - Success and Failure

Year	Description
1923	In 1923 Mr. Churchill began a four-volume series, "The World Crisis," in which he told the story of Europe during and immediately after World War I. One of these books, "The Unknown War," tells the story of the vast, bloody and complicated battles on the Eastern Front.
1924	Winston Churchill was appointed chancellor of the exchequer.
1925	He rejoined the Conservative Party in 1925.
1929	Churchill's tenure as Chancellor of the Exchequer ended with the fall of the Conservative Government in 1929.
1930	Out of office and largely out of favor, these are described as Churchill's "Wilderness years". He warns persistently of the threat of war with Germany
1931	Churchill spent much of his time between 1931 and 1935 at his home, Chartwell, in Kent. He was an enthusiastic amateur mason and built garden walls and a swimming pool.
1932	Churchill visited Germany and an appointment was made for him to meet Hitler. The Nazi leader did not keep the appointment, and Churchill later wrote: "Thus Hitler lost his only chance of meeting me."
1933	Winston Churchill Publishes 'Marlborough: His Life and Times a panegyric biography written by Winston Churchill about John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough. Churchill was a descendant of the duke.
1936	The drift toward war quickened on March 7, 1936, when Hitler suddenly occupied the demilitarized Rhineland zone.
1937	On May 28, 1937, the first coalition Government of Neville Chamberlain came to power, but pacifist sentiment was strong and Churchill was not asked to join the Government.
1939	He was re-appointed as the first lord of the Admiralty on 3rd Sep 1939.

Timeline of Winston Churchill - Success Continued

Year	Description
1940	He was named "Man of the Year" by Time's Magazine. He became the Prime Minister on 10th May 1940 by King George VI and formed a coalition government
1941	He arrived in Washington, D.C. to discuss war strategy with President Franklin Roosevelt. By the time he left three weeks later, he and Roosevelt had developed a close friendship that continued until Roosevelt's death four years later.
1942	On 10th Nov, 1942 he delivered his famous speech "This is not the end". He said "The Germans have received back again that measure of fire and steel which they have so often meted out to others. Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning."
1943	Various conferences like First Quebec, Cairo Conference, Tehran Conference, etc were held to discuss various matters during this period.
1944	Winston Churchill, Roosevelt and their advisers met for the second time in Quebec in the conference codenamed Octagon.
1945	He was defeted in 1945 election. Churchill was seen as a fantastic war leader, but the public didn’t think he could lead the country in times of peace.
1946	He gave his famous Iron Curtain speech. Speaking to the group of students, he said, iron curtain has fallen over Europe. He referred to Stalin's plan to spread communism across Europe and then the term iron curtain became the part of political vocabulary.
1947	His brother died in this year.

Year	Description
1893	Winston Churchill applied to join the Royal Military College at Sandhurst. He chose to join the calvary.
1894	Churchill graduated from Royal Military College of Sandhurst. He was appointed as a cornet in the British military and became a Second-Lieutenant in the 4th Queen’s Own Hussars.
1895	His father, Lord Randolph Churchill, died on 24th Jan, 1895
1896	The young cavalry officer Churchill is posted to India
1897	Winston becomes involved with the Malakand Field force fighting local tribesmen on the North west frontier
1898	Churchill participates in a regimental cavalry charge with the 21st Lancers in the Sudan
1899	Churchill left the British Army on 5th May 1899.
1900	Back again in England, Sir Winston stood again for Parliament from Oldham and this time he won the seat for Oldham as the Conservative MP in this year. He became the member of Conservative Party.
1901	He took his seat in the House of Commons for the first time on Jan. 23, 1901.
1904	Leaves the Conservatives to join the Liberals

Timeline of Winston Churchill - Marriage and Children

Year	Description
1905	Winston is made Under Secretary of State for the Colonies
1908	Winston Churchill married love of his life Clementine Ogilvy Hozier on 12the Sep, 1908. Clementine was decade younger than him. Also in this year he introduced a Britain's first minimum wages bill. Churchill also became President of the Board of Trade.
1909	His daughter was born whose name was Diana Churchill. She was born on 11th July 1909.
1910	Winston becomes Home Secretary
1911	His son Randolph Frederick Edward Churchill was born on 28th May, 1911. Winston Churchill was made First Lord of the Admiralty in 1911. In this role, Churchill set about modernizing Britain’s battleships.
1914	His second daughter and third child Sarah Churchill was born on 7th Oct, 1914.
1915	He was forced to resign from his post in 1915 because he had been heavily involved in planning the Battle of Gallipoli (World War 1) – which was a massive disaster.
1916	Churchill leads the men of the 6th Battalion Royal Scots fusiliers in the trenches of France. Later resumes his political career
1917	Churchill works as Minister for Munitions
1918	Marigold Frances Churchill, third daughter of Winston Churchill was born on 15th Nov, 1918
1919	He establishes the ten year rule.
1921	The Anglo-Irish Treaty was signed by Winston Churchill which replaced Third Home Rule Bill and the Ireland Act and would result in a much more independent South Ireland, or Irish Free State as the new country was called.
1922	Last child of Winston Churchill, Mary Churchill, was born on 15th Sep 1922.

Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill was a person of determined stubborn who operated on his own terms throughout his lifetime. He was born in 1874 and died in 1965. was one of the greatest politicians of the United Kingdom who went on to become the Prime Minister of the country in 1940, serving till 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955. Winston enjoyed an exceptional success in his political life from the very beginning and held many important positions such as President of the Board of Trade, Home Secretary and First Lord of the Admiralty in the Asquith Liberal government. Below is the timeline of Winston Churchill lifespan.

1874	Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill was born on Monday, 30th Nov, 1874 at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire, England. His parents name was Lady Randolph Churchill (née Jennie Jerome) and Lord Randolph Churchill. He was born prematurely. Lady Randolph hired Mrs. Elizabeth Everest as a nanny to care for Winston.
1882	Winston started schooling at St. George’s School, Ascot
1884	His completed his pre school studies.

1885	Winston fondly called Mrs. Everest, his nanny, “Woomany.” Later Winston Churchill would say that “My nurse was my confidante. Mrs. Everest it was who looked after me and tended all my wants. It was to her that I poured out all my many troubles…”
1886	Once in 1886 he is reported to have proclaimed "My daddy is Chancellor of the Exchequer and one day that's what I'm going to be."
1887	From 1884-1888, Winston attended The Misses Thompson’s Preparatory School where he learned things that interested him such as French, history, poetry, riding a horse and swimming.
1888	He entered Harrow School on 17th April, 1888.
1890	His brother John Strange Churchill was born on 9th Feb, 1880.
