Comedy Nights with Kapil

Comedy Nights with Kapil is an Indian comedy show that airs on Colors TV channel. The show is hosted by comedian Kapil Sharma. Show provides a distinctive take on the everyday life of a common man as the show explores the story of every household and how our common man Kapil is affected by the simplest issues in life around him. The format of the show is mixed, with Sharma acting out skits on stage with supporting characters, while also interacting with members in the audience and permanent guest Navjot Singh Siddhu.

The show consists of a talented cast portraying various roles starting with the wife Mrs. Sharma played by Sumona Chakravarti, the interfering Daadi played by Ali Asgar, the unmarried Bua played by Upasana Singh, an annoying servant played by Naseem Vicky, and Kapil’s secretary played by Soni Singh. Talented theatre actor and comedian Sunil Grover will also be seen donning several unconventional characters throughout the series.

Speaking on his production debut, Kapil Sharma said, "I am thankful to Colors for giving me this opportunity and providing me with such a big canvas for my creative ideas. The USP of the show is the interactive setting where I get to engage a live set of audiences. Making people laugh is an addiction for me and with a topical script and a great ensemble cast we hope to bring to the audiences a show they can sit back and enjoy."

It often features celebrity guests, who usually appear to promote their latest films and with whom the actors interact in-character.

Show started on 22nd June, 2013. Various filmstars from Dharmendra to Akshay Kumar to Shah Rukh Khan to Mika Singh to Ranbir Kapoor to Anil Kapoor has been on the show to promote their films.
